Privacy Policy — Block Discounts & Protect Profit

This app (“the App”, by Storkify) helps Shopify merchants protect their profit margins by checking discount codes against product costs. This policy explains exactly what data the App accesses, why, and how it is handled.

What we access

• Shop information — your store’s domain and plan, used to operate the App.
• Products and variants — titles, prices and the “cost per item” you enter in Shopify, used to calculate margins.
• Checkout cart contents (transient) — when a buyer applies a discount, our checkout validation function reads the cart line prices and the discount to decide whether the order stays above your margin. This happens in real time and nothing from the cart is stored.

What we do NOT collect

The App does not collect, store or process customer personal data — no names, emails, addresses, or order history. We have no customer profiles.

How we store data

We store only your shop’s product costs (as Shopify metafields, inside your own store) and an authentication session for the App. The session is held on our server, operated on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States. We do not sell or share your data.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the App, your session is deleted and we honour Shopify’s data-erasure requests (shop/redact, customers/redact) automatically. Because we hold no customer personal data, customer-data requests return nothing to disclose.

You can request information about, or deletion of, your data at any time by uninstalling the App or by contacting us at info@storkify.de. For EU/UK merchants, you may exercise your rights under the GDPR; we act as a processor on your behalf for the limited data described above.
